Since the beginning of 2024, the world’s first ultra-large SLon-5000 WHIMS has been successfully applied in a tailings recycling technical transformation project in Sichuan. After half a year of continuous production, our equipment has operated stably and achieved excellent mineral processing indicators. The customers spoke highly of its performance, fully demonstrating the strong strength of SLon in the field of magnetic separation equipment.
It is a technical transformation project for tailings recycling, which aims to use advanced magnetic separation technology to deeply recover the fine-grained titanium in the original magnetic separation and flotation tailings of the dressing plant. With the successful application of the SLon-5000 WHIMS, this project has made a major breakthrough in the recovery of ilmenite tailings resources. Through the recovery process of one rough, one cleaner and one scavenger, it not only greatly improves the recovery rate of ilmenite, but also significantly reduces the emissions of tailings, achieving a win-win situation of economic and environmental benefits.
The reason why SLon-5000 WHIMS can achieve such excellent results in the field of mineral processing is the unique technical advantages. It pioneers the frame-type, modular large-scale electromagnetic yoke structure and the movable hub double-key connection split sorting ring structure, successfully solving the technical problems of ultra-large magnetic separators in efficient sealing and transmission of magnetic flux, processing, manufacturing, and installation of over-large components and so on. The new matrix based on the multi-filament theory has effectively improved the recovery rate of fine-grained titanium. The application of these innovative technologies has enabled the SLon-5000 WHIMS to reach industry-leading levels in terms of ore processing capacity, titanium recovery rate and energy consumption control.
The successful application of the SLon-5000 WHIMS not only brings huge economic returns to the company, but also sets an example for sustainable development in the global mining field. With the continuous promotion and application of this technology, more mining companies will be able to benefit from this innovative technology in the future, jointly promoting the green, low-carbon and efficient development of the mining industry, and making an important contribution to the realization of the “double carbon” goal.
